What Preflight proves, and what it does not.
What it enforces
- Refuses to send any signed transaction whose bytes differ from the one it simulated and checked.
- Reads every receipt from the chain: USDC debited, tokens credited, SOL spent. Anyone can reproduce these from the signature.
- Records whether the issuer page linked the mint and carried the reviewed terms at check time, next to the capture's SHA-256.
- Publishes the verdict and its SHA-256 on each receipt, so a copy saved at signing can be compared later.
Does not
- Decide your eligibility. PreStocks says its tokens are not available to U.S. persons.
- Anchor the verdict on chain. Preflight submits Jupiter's prepared transaction unchanged and rejects any edit to it, so the verdict record is stored by Preflight, not in the transaction.
- Know when the issuer last updated its mark. It shows when the mark was read.
- Protect trades made elsewhere. Orders are capped at 5 USDC while this is a hackathon build.
